The covid-19 pandemic era has impacted people and environment, including our inland and marine aquatic ecosystems. Furthermore, it could also impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) action. Efforts to achieve SDG 14 targets and to save our seas require our full attention and support, especially to address the acute pressures and threats to the environment during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Universitas Hasanuddin, collaborate with Akuatrop, Universitas Malaysia Terengganu, holds an annual International Marine and Fisheries Symposium to provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and other concerned parties in the field s of marine science fisheries to share their research findings, ideas and experience, as a contribution to advancing the marine and fisheries sector with theme “The Acceleration of Marine and Fisheries Resources Management to Achieve SDGs in Covid-19 Pandemic Era”.
